Ridge Gourd Milk Curry - Birakaya Palu Vesina Kura

Ridge Gourd Milk Curry helps when U effected with fever. Ridge Gourd has so many health benefits likes it purifies the blood, it also aids weight loss, it has high beta crotene that is good for eyes, cellulose in ridge gourd helps to overcome constipation so is good for stomach. It helps to purify, restore and nourish liver as its an antidote for alcohol intoxication. Also aids in curing piles. Ridge gourd is low in saturated fat and cholesterol, high in dietary fibre, vitamin C, riboflavin, zinc, thiamin, iron, magnesium and manganese.So do not hate to eat Ridge Gourd :-)


Lets see the preparation of this curry

Ingredients
Ridge Gourd - 1
Milk - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt as required

For Seasoning
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
Channa dal - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli - 1/2
Hing - a pinch
Curry Leaves - few & fresh 

Procedure
Peel the skin of ridge gourd and chop into small pieces. Add sugar and boil it with milk.


Now heat 1 tsp of oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds let them pop. After that add cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, red chilli, curry leaves and hing. Saute for few seconds.

If ridge gourd pieces are boiled then switch off the flame and drain the remaining water.

Now add these pieces to seasoning and cook for few minutes.


Finally add salt and mix it well.

Ridge Gourd Milk curry is ready to eat.
