Fried Gram Coconut Chutney


Preparation of Fried Gram Coconut Chutney :

This chutney recipe is more common. Even though I am posting it for beginners. This chutney is a nice combination for idly, dosa, upma etc., it is easy to prepare. In this coconut is optional. In my house we make it once in a week. Hope U will enjoy this recipe..


Lets see the preparation of this recipe

Ingredients
Coconut - 3/4 cup
Green Chillies - 3
Ginger - 1 bit
Fried Gram - 1/2 cup
Water as required
Salt as required

For Seasoning
Oil - 2 tsp
Red Chillies - 1(make it into small pieces)
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Cummin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - few and fresh

Preparation
First remove the shell of coconut and make it into small pieces.

Cut green chillies and ginger into pieces. So that they grind easily

Procedure
Grind coconut pieces, ginger and green chillies.


Now add fried gram and required salt.


Then grind these ingredients into powder.


Then add required amount of water and grind again. Do not add water before making these ingredients into powder it may not grind properly and takes more time.

Now for seasoning heat oil. Add mustard seeds after they splutters add cummin seeds, red chillies, hing and curry leaves.

Add this seasoning to chutney. Coconut Fried Gram chutney is ready. Serve it with idly, dosa, upma.
